The Program

Costs

All students will be signing up for the program through the University at Buffalo.  Therefore, costs (tuition and fees) are the same as for any other UB student at the masters level.

The semester in Cuba, both for first- and second-year students, will require a program fee of $4,700.   The fee covers:

  • Overnight accommodations in Toronto
  • Airport transfers in Toronto and Havana
  • Cuban entry visa
  • Cuban medical insurance
  • Room and breakfast for the entire semester
  • Transportation, room and board on 12-day tour of Cuba
  • Administrative fee

In addition, all students will be responsible for arranging transportation to Toronto, round trip air fare from Toronto (approximately $600.00 US), health care, passport, and personal expenses (about $500.00 per month).

Similar arrangements will be made for those students who wish to enroll in one of our partner Caribbean Studies institutions during their third semester in the program.
